Jesus Betrayed

In Matthew 26:47–56, Jesus is betrayed by Judas, who identifies Him to an armed crowd with a kiss. One of Jesus’ disciples reacts by striking the high priest’s servant, cutting off his ear, but Jesus rebukes the violence, affirming that He could summon angels if He wished. Instead, He submits willingly to arrest, emphasizing that these events fulfill Scripture. As He is taken away, all His disciples abandon Him and flee. It’s a moment of profound surrender and prophetic fulfillment.
